Seligman delivers January address
In his January address to the University community, President Seligman says he anticipates the year ahead to be one of continued progress and momentum in spite of sizeable challenges posed by the current economic downturn. Reflecting on past-year achievements of faculty, staff, students, and alumni, he also points to “a reinvigorated effort” on a national scale to bolster cutting-edge work at leading research universities.
“There should be no question that the current economic crisis is unprecedented in the post–World War II period and will slow implementation of aspects of our strategic plans.
