Meliora Weekend expected to draw thousandsThousands of alumni, parents, students, faculty, and friends will be on campus from October 8 to 11 to celebrate the ninth Meliora Weekend. Secretary of Energy Steven Chu ’70,’98 (Honorary) and political satirist Bill Maher are among the featured speakers at the University’s annual reunion, homecoming, and family weekend. Other highlights of this year’s event include the dedication of a statue honoring the legacy of University benefactor George Eastman and a presidential symposium that brings together noted finance and economics experts to discuss the future of financial regulation. Meliora Weekend will also feature a special celebration to honor the dedication of the Edmund A. Hajim School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, named in honor of Ed Hajim ’58, the chair of the Board of Trustees. Read more about a symposium and events surrounding the school’s naming.
