Students show innovative solutions to real-world problems
Throughout the year Hajim School students have partnered with local companies and institutions to solve real-world engineering problems in the fields of medicine, alternative energy, optics, communications, and other areas.
Teammates Michael Bux, Jessica Indyk, Willie Long, Juraj Masiar, and Spencer Putnam created VenAer, a device that detects air bubbles in the heart to reduce the risk of life-threatening complications from certain types of surgeries. Their project was among those showcased at the annual Hajim School Design Day on May 2.
