Wilson Day connects students with the community

Around 200 freshmen helped rake, weed, and paint areas in Mt. Hope Cemetery, which is celebrating is 175th anniversary this year. The group joined more than 1,000 other first-year students who volunteered with organizations throughout Rochester for the 25th annual Wilson Day last month. This year, the University partnered with the City of Rochester for a series of mini Clean Sweeps on South Clinton and Monroe avenues. Learn more about this history of Wilson Day at an exhibit celebrating the history of the initiative—on display through Meliora Weekend in Rush Rhees Library.
