About Currents
Currents is the University of Rochester’s faculty/staff newspaper. It is produced six times a year by University Communications.
Since publishing its first issue—a single-page bulletin—in November 1966, Currents has continued to evolve over the years. Today, the newsletter provides coverage of news and newsmakers on the River Campus as well as those at the Medical Center, Eastman School of Music, and the Memorial Art Gallery.
