WiSTEE

Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Entrepreneurship

Vision:

Promote women leadership in Science,Technology, Engineering, and Entrepreneurship, bridge the gap between Science and Business, and provide a forum to learn, connect and lead.

Compared to the existing similar groups, WiSTEE group is aiming to fill two gaps: (1) Focusing on the advancement of junior and mid-career women in STEE, ie, career growth rather than career entry. (2) Women Entrepreneurship in Science and Technology.

Congresswoman Louise Slaughter also has recognized the WiSTEE initiative and taken an interest in this group.

Next meeting “Path to Entrepreneurship” will be 4-6 p.m. May 3 in the Faculty Club of the Meliora Restaurant. Click here to RSVP.

WiSTEE and Minorities and Women in Optical Society of America have established partnership to bring WiSTEE’s local voice to global stage and to provide global vision and opportunities back to WiSTEE members.
