Fall 2015 Conference: “Creative Innovation: How Arts, Sciences, and Diversity Build Synergy” – November 2015

Buckle up, hold on tight, this year’s conference “Creative Innovation: How Arts, Sciences, and Diversity Build Synergy” will expand your inquisitive mind. With the dynamic energy of keynote speaker, Dr. Christopher Emdin, Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Science and Technology at Teachers College, Columbia University, you are sure to get a special treat.

The University-wide annual research conference overall objective is to promote diversity and inclusion through the advancement of scholarship and showcasing UR scholarly activity. This year’s conference will aim to:

  • Create an opportunity to merge seemingly different disciplines through existing and future research and scholarly endeavors
  • Create a lens for understanding the intersectionality of the Arts into the sciences and healthcare while creating opportunities to brainstorm, build teams, and solve problems
  • Foster a culture of creativity and collaboration with all entities on campus: faculty, students, and staff
