Talk: Dante the Abolitionist

Dennis Looney, professor of French and Italian at the University of Pittsburgh, will give a tak on "Dante the Abolitionist: African-American Appropriations of the Italian Poet in the Nineteenth Century."

The talk is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Sponsored by the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures, the Frederick Douglass Institute for African and African-American Studies and the Undergraduate Medieval Society at the University of Rochester.
