Reading the World Conversation Series: Radical Politics and BFFs

Wilson Commons Gowen Room
Tuesday, April 15, 2014
6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Amanda Michalopoulou and her translator Karen Emmerich will read from and discuss Why I Killed My Best Friend, praised by the likes of Gary Shteyngart as: “Flawlessly translated, Amanda Michalopolou’s WIKMBF uses the backdrop of Greek politics, radical protests, and the art world to explore the dangers and joys that come with BFFs. Or, as the narrator puts it, ‘odiodsamato,’ which translates roughly as ‘frienemies.’”

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit
