January is Mentor Month
Event: January 19th, 2012 Power, Privilege, and Difference
Allan G. Johnson is a sociologist and a writer who has worked on issues of gender inequality and patriarchy. He writes about the reality of patriarchy, gender oppression, and white privilege in ways that avoid cycles of individual guilt and blame. Our goal for Dr. Johnson's visit is to help the University move along the continuum from diversity and cultural competence efforts toward anti-racism and anti-oppression actions for social change.
