The Office of Human Resources—Organizational Development and Staff Diversity (ODSD) supports the University’s commitment to maintaining a workforce that welcomes and reflects the diversity of our society.
Diversity creates opportunities for people to engage, understand and respect others whose perspectives, values, beliefs, traditions, and world views have been shaped by experiences and backgrounds. Diversity efforts start with the community we serve, particularly those from historically marginalized and underrepresented groups.
The Staff Diversity and Inclusion strategy includes recruitment activities, retention, and training and development programs that foster inclusion and community engagement. Recruitment activities focus on the goal of creating a more diverse professional workforce as well as developing future healthcare practitioners and leaders.
The Office –ODSD works collaboratively with the Equal Opportunity Office (https://www.rochester.edu/eoc/).
The University of Rochester will be an inclusive community that reflects and celebrates the richness of diversity and the opportunities it creates.
