In 2006, Mark Ain, Founder and Executive Chairman of the Board of Kronos Incorporated, made a generous donation to fund a Business Feasibility Competition ($10,000 prize). The sixth annual Mark Ain Business Model Workshop Series and Competition is scheduled for January-May 2012, and all University of Rochester undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to compete. Workshop attendance is free and open to all members of the University. The fee for business plan submission is waived for undergraduates and members of the Entrepreneurs Association. There will be a $50 fee per submission for teams comprised of non-undergraduates and/or non-Simon Entrepreneur Club members.

2012 Rochester Regional Business Plan Contest and Celebration of Entrepreneurship Web Site
Apply to the 2012 Rochester Regional Business Plan Contest online.
The 2012 Rochester Regional Business Plan Contest encourages entrepreneurship and recognizes new, high-growth ventures in the Greater Rochester New York Region. This year's event offers contestants a chance at winning up to $50,000 in cash and prizes.

Judging Criteria
The winners will be selected by a panel of distinguished entrepreneurs and investors, and announced on Thursday, April 19th at the fourth Annual Celebration of Entrepreneurship Luncheon, which will also feature highlights and recognition of other community entrepreneurial successes. Registration opens Thursday, January 5. Applications for the contest are due by Friday, February 17.
