Students in the EAPP will have the opportunity to submit their own composition as part of this International Education Week poem contest. Participants will write a short poem to describe themselves and different aspects of their identity, by using the phrase "I Am" to start each line. Students are encouraged to think introspectively about who they are and draw connections to their own life experiences and others. Each EAPP class will nominate selections to the International Education Week planning committee, which will choose the contest winner.
Under the direction of the Writing, Speaking, and Argument Program, undergraduate students admitted into the EAPP are enrolled in classes designed to help them use English more effectively and to provide support to enhance academic and social interactions. Approximately 50 EAPP students are enrolled for 2013-2014.
