Jayne Danska, senior scientist with the program in genetics and genome biology at the Hospital for Sick Children Research Institute and professor of medicine at the University of Toronto, will give two presentations Thursday, May 15. At 1:30 p.m., she will present “The Causal Web of Autoimmunity: Genes, Sex, and Bacteria in Type 1 Diabetes” as part of the Department of Biology Seminar Series in Hutchison Hall 473. At 3 p.m., Danska will discuss “Navigating By Your Inner Compass—Science, Family, and an Adventurous Life” at the Graduate Women in Science meeting in Auditorium K-307 (3-6408), Medical Center.
