About the Author:
Mara Gladstone, editor of Invisible Culture's 11th issue, is a doctoral candidate in Visual and Cultural Studies at the University of Rochester and an independent curator. Her research focuses on the fields of sense studies, museum studies, globalization and contemporary art. She has organized and promoted exhibitions, site-specific installations and performance projects by artists based in Beijing , New York and Bangkok .
