Arts, Sciences & Engineering IT
Our primary mission is to provide technology solutions and services that support the academic and administrative needs of faculty and staff at the School of Arts & Sciences and the Hajim School of Engineering & Applied Sciences. We support technology in instructional facilities, provide computer support and consultation for individual users and departments including a walk-in Help Desk located at the Rush Rhees Library.
Located in Hoyt Hall, Classroom Technology Services oversees the management for traditional and "electronic hands-on classrooms" on the River Campus to meet the growing demand for technology integration with instructional activities. Room and equipment reservations for undergraduate courses requiring technology-enhanced classrooms are supported in cooperation with the Office of the College Registrar.
Located in Rush Rhees Library, the IT Center provides first-level technology support to faculty, staff, students, and visitors of the University of Rochester. Support is available for software installations, operating system upgrades, wireless network configurations, virus detection/disinfecting, and general troubleshooting.
More advanced desktop consulting is provided to administrative and academic units in Arts, Sciences, and Engineering and others through consulting liaisons assigned to specific areas.
