Data Center of the Future

Supporting the University’s Digital Heartbeat

The University’s new Data Center supports the diverse and evolving needs of a world-class research university and a premier regional health care system. All planned migrations to the new Data Center were completed by spring 2010 with no major issues.  The project was on schedule and within budget.

The new data center environment provides increased capacity to support anticipated growth and the ability to expand beyond its current footprint. The increased computing capability will support key strategic and operational initiatives while adhering to industry best practices.

The Data Center is the hub of the University’s computing resources, which are shared by the academic, medical, research, and administrative communities.
