Before you arrive

Review University IT Services for Students.
Read the Student Resource Guide.
Activate your NetID.
Access your UR Student email account.
Opt-in Telephone Contract and Cellular Services.
Setup your AlertUR notification
Complete Health Insurance Selection form.
Purchase a computer online. Choose to have it shipped to your home, or pick it up at the Expo when you arrive.

After you arrive

Download free anti-virus software available through the University agreement.
Connect to ResNet (Residential Networking).
Wireless Instructions
Activate your firstname.lastname @rochester.edu email alias.
View Cable Television Line-up.
