The IT Center is located on the ground floor of Rush Rhees Library. The Student Help Desk is located in the IT Center, as well as University IT professionals from several departments. The IT Center also houses the largest public computing facility on River Campus.
Patron guidelines to use of facilities

Specific software: Machines in the IT Center have specific applications that are difficult to find on other campus machines.
PC software: Cygwin, Gauss 7.0, GRE POWERPREP, Lejos, MS Visual J++ 6.0, MS Visual Studio 6.0 Professional, Pro Engineer Wildfire 2.0, Putty, Robocode, Tora
Mac software: MATLAB 7.2
If you'd like to inquire as to whether IT Center machinery supports a specific application, please contact the Student Help Desk (275-2000, Option 1).
Printing: All stations print by default to one of four Xerox Phaser 5400 printers adjacent to the Student Help Desk. There is also a Xerox Phaser 8200 color printer available. A URID with a Flex account or visitor's copy card with sufficient balance is required to release print jobs. The release stations are adjacent to the printers.
