University IT will introduce two services in October to better protect against phishing attacks and improve off-site access to HRMS.
About 10,000 computers at the Medical Center and its offsite locations will be upgraded to Windows 7 and Office 2010.
Work will begin on August 20 to improve the speed and security of the Medical Center’s wireless network for faculty and staff.
The Phish Tank provides examples of actual phishing emails that have been received at University email addresses, including URMC.
Scammers are calling indicating that they represent an IT organization and are asking for personal information.
Contact the Help Desk immediately if you have clicked on links in these phishing emails and report any suspicious emails.
