January is National Stalking Awareness Month. This one-hour informational video session will focus on the use of technology in stalking. Stalking is defined as a course of conduct directed at a specific person that would cause a reasonable person to feel fear. Attendees will receive information about stalking behaviors, how technology may be used to stalk, vulnerable populations, and how victims or victim advocates can report and receive help for this unwanted behavior. The session is open to all interested employees and students. No registration is required. Sponsored by University Security, in conjunction with the Rochester Police Department and its Victim Services Unit, and Alternatives for Battered Women.
