The Software Quality Assurance & Control (SQA&C) Project

The SQA&C initiative is a multi-year project. The goal of this project is to improve software quality so that it is better aligned with the business functional and performance goals. A commitment to SQA&C will reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of software delivery and enable better compliance with the auditing requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley.

This project will address all aspects of the software development lifecycle including:

  • A structured approach to gathering and managing requirements

  • Test management

  • Automation of functional/regression testing

  • Automation of load testing

  • Management of change, and

  • Defect tracking

The end result will include the ability to deploy high-quality applications quickly and effectively by providing a consistent, repeatable process for gathering requirements, planning and scheduling tests, analyzing results, and managing defects and issues.
