When you arrive on campus for Orientation, you will attend this event, held in the Goergen Athletic Center Field House. This event offers you a single, on-campus location to meet with representatives from various services vital to daily life at the University of Rochester.
You'll quickly find that attending the Expo is an efficient way to combine several important tasks in one easy location. Learn more about the Expo by watching this movie!
The Expo is the place to attend your student ID card, and campus mailbox key. This is also a great chance to ask the experts from University IT (Information Technology) any and all of your computer-related questions.
University IT is a one-stop shop for all of your computer needs, from purchasing a complete system, to taking delivery of a pre-paid order, University IT experts will make the process as easy as possible. University IT consultants can assist you with your campus email account, telephone service, and other communication needs that you may have. If you want to stay connected, stop by and see the staff at ResNet. ResNet provides all high-speed internet connections to your campus residence.
The Expo is about more than just computing. Services from the entire university are represented in one location. Representatives from Parking, Health Services, Security, Dining, Residential Life, the Interfaith Chapel, and the campus radio station, WRUR are only a few of the many departments that will be on-hand to answer your questions. Even non-University services like Rochester-area banking and local commerce will be on-site to assist you.
New on-campus? Stop by and meet the Freshman Orientation staff, who will be available to guide you in the right direction. This is also a great place to drop off your parents and family members if you need a little break. The Orientation staff has plenty of activities to keep them busy as well.
We look forward to meeting you at the Expo.
