Message: Some users have seen a flurry of UNDELIVERABLE messages in their inbox. Neither our mail system, or your account, has been compromised.
There are programs available that scan websites for email addresses. A spammer then can use that address and pretend it is coming from that person. This is called spoofing. They then mass spam mail servers, and they will send an UNDELIVERABLE message to what it thinks is the original sender(you).
If you receive a flood of these messages, it is most likely your address is being spoofed. You should make sure you have the latest Antivirus updates and Microsoft patches as well. Most of your computers are already set to do this. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the IT Center at 5-2000 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
