Firefox 2.0.0.19, due to be released in December of 2008, will be missing the anti-phishing feature which appeared in every previous release of Firefox 2. Firefox 3.0 was released on June 17, 2008, and the current version, 3.0.4, does have this feature. As a result of this development, University IT recommends the following:
Do not install Firefox version 2.0.0.19
Upgrade Firefox to version 3.0.4 if you have not already done so
This change affects both Mac and Windows users on campus.
