(Updated on: January 25, 2007)

Microsoft's latest version of Internet Explorer, 7.0, is now readily available to the public and is currently being issued as a high priority update by Microsoft.

In order to ensure your productivity, the IT organizations are strongly recommending that you wait to download and install Internet Explorer 7.0 (IE7). University IT providers are working together with other divisions to test web-based applications to determine if they are compatible with this new browser.

At this time, neither Microsoft nor PeopleSoft has announced that Internet Explorer 7.0 will work with PeopleSoft. (The University's HRMS system is an implementation of PeopleSoft.) If it is critical that you access HRMS from a specific computer, do not load IE7 onto that computer.

Pass on the Internet Explorer 7.0 Upgrade

Because Microsoft is now issuing IE7 as a high priority update, you may be prompted to download it as an update it if you have set up your system to receive regular updates directly from Microsoft. To avoid installation, please UNCHECK the box to install it when prompted.

We expect to provide more information on this subject as we test web-based applications in Internet Explorer 7.0. Please stop back periodically to review this page.
