The University of Rochester, across the institution, supports the certification of our Medical Center. This certification is granted by a group known as the Joint Commission, or JCAHO, to include the accredidation part of the term.
Support includes ensuring that all of our employees are aware of, and take an annual test on, the rules, regulations, advisories, and internal procedures that create a safe "environment of care" for patients and staff.
