Step 1: Launch your Outlook application and then click Tools and select Accounts as seen below:

Step 2: At the Accounts screen, highlight the mail.rochester.edu account, and click the Properties button.

Step 3: At the Properties window click the Advanced tab.

Step 4: Under Incoming mail (POP3): check the checkbox "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)". Then click the Apply button and then click OK.

Step 5: This will bring you back to the Accounts screen as seen in Step 2. You can now click the Close button. This will save your settings and you will now be POPing your e-mail over SSL. |
