security and policy

One of University Information Technology's primary goals is to maintain the security and proper functioning of our computing resources. In order to meet this goal, we continuously check for the newest threats that are posed to the network and its users while also enhancing our security procedures to reduce potential risks and effectively manage problems as they arise.

Yet we also strive to keep you well-informed because prevention is the key to security. With your help, the University of Rochester's digital information and technology resources can be safe for everyone.

In this portion of the University IT website, you can find information about computer security, online safety, copyright issues, and the University's technology policies. Click the links on the left for more information. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments you may have.
