Summer Institute in Technology
Faculty of the College
Summer Institute is a week-long educational technology boot camp for faculty of the College seeking assistance in the use of technology in instruction.
Upon completion of Summer Institute, all faculty will have learned to create and publish course materials on the Web. They will also learn about the benefits of using mailing lists (Listservs) and discussion groups (USENET News). Faculty will have the opportunity to learn the rudiments of and experiment with a desktop presentation package (PowerPoint). After Summer Institute, they will be able to get the most out of Voyager and other electronic library reserves. Moreover, faculty will have had a full week to interact with colleagues who share these interests.
Summer Institute graduates will have the option to expand on the skills acquired during the Institute by working closely with Ed Tech Center staff.
