General Awarding Guidelines

Students receiving merit- or need-based University scholarships/grants should be aware that certain restrictions apply:

• Entering freshman are limited to eight semesters of scholarship/grant assistance.
• University scholarships/grants require full-time enrollment (at least 12 credits/semester).
• University scholarships/grants are not available for summer coursework.

New York state residents and children of UR alumni will receive a minimum of $5,000 in university scholarship/grant funding, either through the Meliora Grant program or through other merit- or need-based sources.
