Morey Hall

Constructed in 1930, Morey Hall was named after William C. Morey, "Uncle Bill" to the undergraduate student body. Morey was a Civil War veteran and an 1868 graduate of the University. During his tenure as a professor, he paved the way for the creation of separate history and political science departments.

Morey Hall currently houses the art and art history department, the English department, a Navy branch of the ROTC, and an amphitheatre classroom used by the debate team as well as other University offices.
