Residence Quad
Residence Quadrangle
Burton and Crosby Halls, built in 1930, are the original residence halls on the River Campus and are the anchors of the Residence Quadrangle, which includes Lovejoy Hall (built in 1953), Hoeing Hall (1954), Tiernan Hall (1957), and Gilbert Hall (1959).
These buildings offer a wide variety of living styles and promote socialization with common rooms equipped with kitchens and audio-video equipment. With the exception of Burton and Crosby, the Residence Quadrangle residence halls experienced significant renovations during the mid- to late-90s, which greatly improved the quality of these facilities.
