Education for Global and Multicultural Leadership with guest speaker Shaké Ketefian, EdD, RN, FAAN, professor and director, Office of International Affairs at the University of Michigan School of Nursing.

Increasingly, the global economy is becoming knowledge-based, and dependent on new knowledge and its application. Closer to home, the population of the United States, and indeed that of many countries, has acquired a global profile, with the concomitant need to be responsive to the educational and health needs such diversity entails. Universities are called upon to prepare their students and scholars for global leadership in this uncharted environment. This presentation will address relevant issues inherent in this task, and suggest strategies for educating our students to meet the challenges presented.

Enjoy a reception and dinner with School of Nursing alumni while viewing Rochester’s best science exhibits. All participants will receive a commemorative photo (you and a guest) at the end of the evening. 

  • The Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition is included in this event.

All classes will be seated together during dinner. The Class of ’59 Award will be presented to a deserving student, totals for the Reunion Scholars program will be announced, and the Reunion Class Check (representing all gifts received from Reunion alumni from January 1, 2009 to the present) will be presented to Dean Kathy P. Parker, PhD, RN, FAAN 

After dinner, please join us for a complimentary show at the planetarium. Shuttle service will be provided to and from the host hotel, Courtyard Marriott. Cash bar.
