Anchor Splash is a national weeklong fundraiser that includes T-shirt sales, a beautiful eyes contest, and raffle culminating in a competitive swim event of relay races and synchronized swimming. All proceeds go to Delta Gamma's foundation, Aid to the Blind and Sight Conservation. This foundation provides computers, Braille books, and scholarships to sight-impaired children and adults. Last year, Anchor Splash raised over $2,000 locally for Aid to the Blind and Sight Conservation.
Teams of eight to 10 people can sign up for the event through Nov. 3. Registration is in Feuer West in Wilson Commons on the River Campus between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. weekdays. Registration is $30 per team. T-shirts and raffle tickets will also be sold.
