EVENT: The Get Up Kids with special guests Hot Rod Circuit

TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: 8 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Alexander Palestra on the University of Rochester's River Campus.

ADMISSION: $18 bleacher, $20 floor for the general public; $12 bleacher, $14 floor for University of Rochester students. Note: Parking is available on University lots all weekend.

Punk rock group The Get Up Kids will perform at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at the Alexander Palestra on the University of Rochester's River Campus.

Their Rochester performance is part of an international tour promoting The Get Up Kids' third album, "On A Wire." The album mixes the group's Midwestern rock n' roll sounds with punk and "emo"-emotional pop punk. Originally from Kansas City, the group has also toured nationally with Green Day and Weezer. The Get Up Kids will perform with special guests Hot Rod Circuit.

Admission is $18 bleachers and $20 floor for the general public; and $12 for bleachers and $14 floor for University of Rochester students. Tickets are on sale at the Lakeshore Record Exchange, 370 Park Ave.; the Common Market in Wilson Commons on the River Campus; online at www.thegetupkids.net; and at the door.
