EVENT: Wilson Commons Provides "Fun & Sun" for Anyone Not on Spring Break

University staff, faculty, and students who can't get away someplace warm for spring break can still get away to . . . Wilson Commons on the River Campus.

The Student Activities Office and UR Dining Services are teaming up to provide some vacation respite with "Fun & Sun" from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, in The Pit of Wilson Commons.

"Tourists" coming to Wilson Commons will get leis and will be able to buy an "Island-themed" lunch menu, featuring a la carte items like Jamaican beef patties, sweet potato fries, Hawaiian pizza, orange floats, and other dishes. The feeling of having escaped will be heightened with piped-in beach music.

Diners will also be able to enter a raffle and get free smoothie samples.

From Monday, March 8, through Friday, March 12, during spring break, food service in Wilson Commons will be offered between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. For more information, contact the Office of Student Activities at x5-9390.
