The semester’s final “Wilson Commons Wednesdays” is April 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Hirst Lounge.
Lunch will feature cole slaw, macaroni salad, rice and beans, cornbread, pulled pork sandwich, hot dogs, soy dogs, corn dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, and root beer floats. Local blues guitarist and vocalist Fred Vine will perform. There will be a raffle for gift certificates to Dinosaur Bar-B-Que and Sal’s Birdland Restaurants as well as promotions for the Red Wings baseball season. A Red Cross blood drive and international travel market are also being held in Wilson Commons on Wednesday.
The celebration of “Wilson Commons Wednesdays” is sponsored by Student Activities and Dining Services as a joint effort to engage the entire University community—faculty and staff as well as students—in enjoying an original and festive atmosphere in Wilson Commons on the River Campus.
