EVENT: 'Wilson Commons Wednesdays' Celebration Continues in October

The next "Wilson Commons Wednesday" will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 5 with a theme celebrating the "Harvest of Rochester." The menu specialties will include roasted turkey with cranberry relish, carrots, spaghetti squash, Harvest Moon Salad, sweet potato biscuits with honey butter, apple brandy crepes, pumpkin cider, and Upstate Farms milk. Lunch is available for $8.

Besides the specialty lunch, the event will feature musical performances by students "Dave and Amos," the University of Rochester Farm-to-School Program, and complimentary apples provided by Cornell Cooperative and Grassroots. Guest chefs are the student environmental group Grassroots.

The celebration of "Wilson Commons Wednesdays" is sponsored by Student Activities and Dining Services as a joint effort to engage the entire University community in enjoying an original and festive atmosphere in Wilson Commons on the River Campus.
