EVENT: University of Rochester Wind Symphony Concert

TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, in Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester's River Campus

ADMISSION: Free and open to the public
Note: Parking is available on University lots after 7 p.m. weeknights.

The University Wind Symphony concert will feature "Joy" and "Compassion" from Awakening by Joseph Curiale, Symphonic Episodes in Three Movements by Brain Balmages, Steve Reisteter's The Eighth Candle, Prayer and Dance for Hanukkah, Carl Maria von Weber's Concertino, Op. 26, and Alfred Reed's Russian Christmas Music. The University Wind Symphony returned recently from an invitational performance in Ontario, Canada, for the "Colours of Music Festival."
