ADMISSION: Tickets are $5 for students, $7 for the general public, on sale at the Common Market in Wilson Commons on the River Campus
The Maria Gillard Band will showcase a number of blues pieces, jazz standards, and original compositions by Maria Gillard. The band features lead singer and guitarist Gillard, pianist Charles Jaffe, bassist Mick Sarubbi, and drummer Pete Monacelli. The program will consist of a lecture and demonstration about the band, their influences, and songwriting techniques, as well as a section devoted to music performance and dance. The event is sponsored by the Program of Movement and Dance.
