Uremez, a folk dancer who has been teaching and performing throughout the United States for more than 30 years, will lead circle, line, and group dances from Turkey, Israel, Greece, Macedonia, Romania, Italy, Germany, Mexico, and other countries. The public will also be able to dance to Bulgarian village music performed by Karamfil.

She has founded numerous folk dance performance groups in the United States and has held workshops both in the community and in schools such as the University of Virginia. She has taught courses titled "Folk Dances from Around the World" and "Sacred Dance" in the University of Rochester's Program of Movement and Dance.

Karamfil plays traditional instruments such as the flute-like kaval; the gadulka, a fiddle; gajda, a bagpipe; the tambura, a mandolin; and the tupan, a two-headed bass drum. The group has been performing throughout the northeastern United States and Canada for two decades.
