Undergraduate Student Art Wanted for Juried Show

The Susan B. Anthony Institute for Gender and Women's Studies is seeking artwork from all interested undergraduate students for the upcoming 2007 annual "(en)GENDERED: Identity, Gender, and Art" exhibition.

Submissions of work relating to issues of gender and identity in all visual media, including video, site specific installations, painting, photography, and drawing, will be accepted on Wednesday, Dec. 6, and Thursday, Dec. 7, in the Sage Art Center on the University's River Campus.

The juried show will run from Jan. 8 through Feb. 2, 2007, in the Gallery at the Art and Music Library in Rush Rhees Library on the River Campus. Juror's Choice Prizes of $150 each will be awarded to three students.

An opening reception and a gallery talk by Margie Searl, chief curator of the Memorial Art Gallery, will take place at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, in the Gallery at the Art and Music Library.
