This annual performance is part of the V-Day College Campaign, a nationwide movement that strives to empower women and end violence and abuse. The campaign raises money and awareness through benefit productions of The Vagina Monologues, a play that explores real women's experiences of abuse.
Proceeds from the performance will benefit the Sojourner House and Alternatives for Battered Women, two local organizations dedicated to stopping violence against women and girls. The local production is presented by the Women's Caucus at the University.
