The Green Mile, adapted from a Stephen King series, is an extraordinary tale set on Death Row in a Southern prison in 1935. It tells the remarkable story of a cell block's head guard Paul Edgecomb (Hanks), who develops a poignant and unusual relationship with one inmate John Coffey (Duncan), who possesses a magical gift that is both mysterious and miraculous. The movie is scheduled to be released in commercial theaters Dec. 17.
