This summer concert series kicks off on Monday, July 6 and continues the next three Mondays. Guest carillonneurs include: Sue Bergren, assistant carillonneur, Millennium Carillon, Naperville, Ill., on July 6; Dennis Curry, Kirk in the Hills, Bloomfield, Mich., on July 13; Laura Ellis, associate professor of music, University of Florida, on July 20; and Jeremy Chesman, assistant professor of music, Missouri State University, on July 27.
TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: 7 p.m. rain or shine, on July 6, 13, 20, and 27 on the Eastman Quadrangle at the University of Rochester\'s River Campus.
The Hopeman Memorial Carillon is housed in Rush Rhees Library\'s tower and consists of 50 bells that were cast in bronze in 1973 by the Royal Eijsbouts bell foundry of Asten in the Netherlands. The University\'s carillon is one of only six carillons located in New York State.
