EVENT: Harold Ford Jr. Lecture to Address Civil Rights in the 21st Century

NOTE TO EDITORS: Harold Ford Jr. will not be available for interviews before or after the event. Photographers (print and television) are permitted for the first 3 minutes of Ford\'s lecture. Reporters (without cameras) are welcome to stay for the full lecture and audience question-and-answer session.

WHO: Harold Ford Jr., former Tennessee Congressman and chairman of the Democratic Leadership Council, will deliver the University of Rochester Black Students\' Union Black History Month Keynote Address.

TIME, DATE, PLACE: 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Interfaith Chapel on Rochester\'s River Campus.

WHAT: University students, faculty, staff and members of the community are invited to attend a motivational lecture by Harold Ford Jr. to celebrate Black History Month. Ford will discuss civil rights, the importance of volunteerism, and how students can meet the challenges of leadership to make a difference. The lecture is free and open to the public.
