WHAT: Electro-hip hop duo LMFAO bring their club beats and pop song remixes to the University of Rochester.
TIME, DATE, PLACE: 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 18, at the Palestra in the Georgen Athletic Center on the University of Rochester River Campus. (Doors open at 7:15 p.m.)
BACKGROUND: Los Angles, Calif. natives Stefan Kendal Gordy aka \"Redfoo\" and Skyler Gordy aka \"SkyBlu\" are the rapper/disc jockey due LMFAO, a self-dubbed \"Party Band\" who got its big break at the 2007 Winter Music Conference in Miami, Fla. Since then, the duo has had several singles break the Billboard Hot 100 list and their hit song \"I\'m in Miami Trick\" was featured on the E! Entertainment Television series Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami.
Tickets are $15 for University of Rochester undergraduates (with I.D.), $20 for graduate students and university employees, and $25 for the general public; all available tickets are for bleacher seating as floor tickets have sold out. Tickets can be purchased at the Common Market in Wilson Commons and online at www.urochestertickets.com. The event is sponsored by UR Concerts.
