EVENT: Vendor Showcase Will Help with Planning for Upcoming Events

The University's Conference and Events Office is sponsoring its first Vendor Showcase of meeting-related services and products from noon to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, in the Hirst Lounge in Wilson Commons on the River Campus.

The showcase is free and open to all members of the University community and features representatives from area hotels and attractions as well as from the Conference and Events Office. Faculty and staff will have the opportunity to discuss upcoming meetings and events with professional event organizers, who will be able to identify on- and off-campus venues for lectures, receptions, or other programs and provide information on local sightseeing opportunities and ways to save on accommodations and guest excursions.

Refreshments for the event are being provided by Aramark and The Meliora, and there also will be prize drawings and giveaways for everyone who attends.

The Conference and Events Office, located in Wallis Hall on River Campus, provides professional planning services for meetings, conferences, and other special events, including budget development, coordination of space requests, housing needs, transportation, registration coordination, and catering.

For more information about the Vendor Showcase, please contact Mary Albee, director of conference and events, at x5-4111 or Bryan Rotach at x5-1459.
