Jeffrey King, professor of philosophy at the University of California at Davis, will present a lecture on "Apparently Circular Dispositional 'Analysis'" at 3:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 8, in Room 2110-D in Dewey Hall on the University of Rochester River Campus.
King's areas of specialty include philosophy of language and philosophical logic. His other interests are contemporary metaphysics, logic, history of analytic philosophy, and philosophy of the mind. He is the author of numerous publications, including many articles for the Journal of Philosophical Logic, Analysis, and Philosophical Studies.
This talk is free and open to the public, and a reception will follow in Lattimore 501. The lecture is part of the Department of Philosophy's fall colloquium series.
